Sirena-Travel Company held the 10th annual conference for heads of agencies “Evolution of Distribution Systems and Development of Sales Technologies”. This year the event was held from April 24 to April 27 in northern Italy, in the city Modena, the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the legendary car brand.
The organization partners of the business part became companies: Alfa Insurance, Transport Clearing House (TCH) and Travelport.
The conference brought together more than 120 key partners, agency heads and airline representatives.
Commercial Director of TCH, JSC Tatyana Merkulova noted: “Today TCH and Sirena-Travel is a branch-holding. In 2018, the market share on domestic airlines at TCH and Sirena-Travel was more than 50%. Together we are: technology, distribution and mutual settlements.”
In the business part of the program, were presented the reports on the new distribution strategy in the airline industry, in particular, the presentation by Alexander Sukhinin “Ahead of time, NDC” and Alexander Kuzmenkov “Content expansion through NDC. Additional opportunities for agents ”, as well as Elena Volodina’s presentation on sales of rail transportation through GDS. Within the framework of the conference, a new promising solution “Sirena-Travel” for agents - “Platform Mixvel” was announced.
Anastasia Prudius from Travelport company announced to the participants the results of Global Research 2018 "Digital Traveler". The study confirmed the importance of digital tools and mobile devices in the distribution of transportation, as well as the growing demand for new technologies, but at the same time the desire of travelers to simple, familiar solutions.
An important part of the conference program was personal meetings between the participants: colleagues were able to discuss specific problems and details of further cooperation with the company Sirena-Travel.
A pleasant addition to the business program were test-drives of Ferrari racing cars in the city of Modena, organized for the six winners of the competition “Evolution of Sirena-Travel”.
