“Sirena-Travel” was the Silver sponsor of the Aviation Festival Asia 2016, which was held from 23 to 24 February, 2016 in Suntec Convention & Exhibition Center, Singapore. “Sirena-Travel” is an IATA strategic partner and the developer of PSS Leonardo.
For the 12th time, Aviation Festival Asia was the place where the global aviation industry came together in Asia to discuss the issues of vital importance for the industry.
In 2016, the Aviation Festival hosted over 2,000 attendees, 200 conference speakers, 600 conference delegates and 150 exhibition booths.
Sirena-Travel’s booth became a place for meeting with Asian airlines, IATA and foreign embassies representatives, payment and other service providers, which were interested in cooperation.
Over 100 airlines and 40 airports were represented in Aviation Festival Asia 2016. The Festival took place over two days with over 150 individual presentations. This event became a certain venue to meet and share ideas on the latest and most vital innovations that were changing the way full-service airlines, low cost carriers and airports were doing business.
In the frame of this forum, Marina Volodina, the Deputy Director General, Commercial Director of Sirena-Travel, delivered a presentation on “Evolution of passenger reservation: PSS of new generation”.
Current trends of aviation industry development and the ways to overcome the modern challenges were analyzed in this presentation. It was highlighted that the implementation of the passenger-centric technology solutions would contribute to airline’s profitability growth. As an IT provider, Sirena-Travel offers its own solution – PSS of new generation “Leonardo”.
The Festival was a mixture of plenary and streamed sessions, panel discussions and round tables debates, which covered the most urgent issues of the aviation industry development. The round table on “Using big data to gain control over cost and revenue” was co-moderated by Igor Roytman, CIO of Sirena-Travel. Airlines are starting to produce insights on the actual cost and revenue on a daily basis to take timely appropriate actions. IT leaders need to know what information is useful and which method to deploy in order to effectively mine and analyze huge amounts of data. The specialists of some Asian airlines and IT providers were gathered at the round table to discuss these issues. Among them were Nok Air, Citilink and others.
In general, the participants praised a level of organization of the event as well as an effectiveness of the participation in this forum and they expressed certainty that the meetings which were held there would be a solid foundation for continuing development and business expansion towards Asian region.
