On December 23, Yamal Airlines began operating flights on the Salekhard - Moscow (Sheremetyevo) - Salekhard route from Sheremetyevo International Airport (Terminal D). The first regular flight opened the airline's year-round flight program between the capital of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Sheremetyevo Airport. From January 3, 2022, flights are scheduled to be operated 4 times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The new direction of the airline was included in the program of subsidizing regional air transportation by the Government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In Terminal D of Sheremetyevo Airport, passengers of Yamal Airlines will be offered a wide range of services and opportunities, including a cozy Sleep Lounge - a sleep and relaxation room located in the public area of the terminal, a spacious room for mothers and children, a Saturn Lounge for persons with disabilities.
