JSC Sirena-Travel, one of the leading providers of IT solutions for aviation and travel industry in Russia, is pleased to announce the completion of DCS Astra certification for the requirements of common use platform SITA CUSS, which enables the capability of self service check-in for passengers at the self check-in kiosks.
To date, the trial operation of self check-in kiosks whose operation is based on certified application DCS Astra, has been scheduled at Domodedovo airport. Upon the successful completion of pilot testing at the Domodedovo airport, passengers will be able to take advantage of self check-in service based on DCS Astra, which will reduce the load on the check-in desks and improve the quality of passenger service.
Self check-in service based on DCS Astra, provided by JSC Sirena-Travel, has been used for passenger check in for flights at the self check-in kiosks for more than half a year by several Russian airports. During this time, the self check-in service has already been used by more than 1.5% of the total number of registered passengers.
The acquired certification will also enable the connection of the discussed service at the airports equipped with the SITA CUSS platform, whereas no additional system configuration or testing required. Thus, the number of airports offering their passengers the option of self-service check-in, will increase considerably not only in Russia but also abroad.
Let us remind you that JSC Sirena-Travel also offers airlines a service of passenger self check-in by means of web-application DCS Astra. In order to use this service a passenger just needs to have access to the Internet to check-in for a flight outside the airport of departure.

The system enables passenger and baggage check-in, maintenance of the seasonal schedules, and monitoring the daily flight plan implementation. The system's architecture and configuration enables it to operate both within the host of airlines and the host of airports. DCS Astra supports standard IATA data exchange formats and can be easily integrated into any reservations systems. JSC Sirena-Travel is pleased to announce that DCS Astra has been certified for the requirements of EASE common use platform developed by AirIT.
The acquired certification enables passenger and baggage check-in through DCS Astra at the airports that have installed EASE platform, without any additional configuration of check-in desks equipment. Thus, the airlines currently using DCS Astra have an advantage of facilitated entering into such airports.
This month, the installations of DCS Astra are scheduled in Antalya Airport equipped with the above mentioned platform. In anticipation of the holiday season, domestic airlines flying from the airport of the resort city will be able to check-in passengers for their flights on their own host, maintaining the system interaction with the electronic ticket server (ETS-2000), and significantly reduce today's costs on the check-in in the airport's host system.
To date, DCS Astra hes been certified for the standards of common use platforms SITA CUTE, iMUSE, RESA, EASE, which allows to implement Astra at the airports on the territory of Russia and CIS countries, as well as in countries near and far abroad that operate these platforms.

As part of Sirena-Travel International project, tickets of two new airlines Kong Airlines (HX) and Hainan Airlines (HU) are available for distribution from Sirena-Travel terminals. Ticketing transactions can be processed through the settlement systems ATSS TCH on CCS-TCH Standard Travel Documents of partner airlines and IATA BSP Russia without any restrictions.
Hong Kong Airlines is an airline based in Hong Kong, founded in 2001. The airline is part of holding company HNA together with Hainan Airlines (HU) and Hong Kong Express Airways (UO). Together airlines conduct flights between Hong Kong and more than 20 destinations around the world, including the cities of mainland China (Changsha, Guilin, Haikou, Kunming, Beijing, Guiyang, Harbin, Hangzhou, Sanya, Shanghai), and international destinations such as Japan (Okinawa, Sapporo), Indonesia (Denpasar ), Philippines (Manila), Vietnam (Hanoi), Taiwan (Taichung).
Hainan Airlines Company Limited was founded in 1993 and is one of the fastest growing and rapidly developing airlines in China. Hainan Airlines' route network covers the whole China, Asia, part of Europe, America and Africa. The airline opened nearly 500 domestic and international flights. Sirena-Travel International project was launched in 2010 by Sirena-Travel and Travelport. The project provided travel agencies implementing GDS Sirena-Travel and accredited in IATA BSP Russia, with access to international airline content located in GDS Galileo Travelport. To date, Sirena-Travel International project allows booking and sales of airline content of more than 70 foreign airlines from Sirena-Travel terminals on its own stock and the stock of interline partners. Thus, thanks to project Sirena-Travel International, GDS Sirena-Travel, in fact, allows travel agencies to successfully implement just one GDS instead of several.

Etihad Airways is the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates. The airline was founded in July 2003 and is based in Abu Dhabi international airport. Etihad Airways operates flights to over 64 destinations worldwide.
