DCS Astra installed at the airports of Pevek and Kaliningrad
The system for passenger and baggage check-in Astra (DCS Astra) was installed by VIM Avia (NN) airline at Pevek airport and by AK BARS AERO (2B) at Khrabrovo airport.
Pevek Airport is located in Apapelgino village near the town of Pevek in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug of the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia. Khrabrovo Airport is located near the city of Kaliningrad in the Kaliningrad region of the North-West Federal District.
DCS Astra (Departure Control System) is a modern host system with a GUI designed for passenger and baggage check-in, management of seasonal schedules and control of the daily flight plan implementation. The system is certified for the common platforms SITA CUTE, iMUSE, RESA CREWS and has Russian and English interface. DCS Astra receives and processes the PNL / ADL from any reservation centers that support IATA's standard data exchange formats. The airlines that operate the electronic ticket server (ETS) of Sirena-Travel, are able to take advantage of the online interaction between DCS Astra and ETS. By 2012 DCS Astra has been installed and is already successfully implemented in more than 120 airports in Russia (from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky) and CIS states (a number of airports in Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania). The system processes more than 500 flights daily.
