The celebration of the 10th anniversary of Sirena-Travel, the leading Russian provider of automated systems for civil aviation was held on 15 November 2011 in Moscow.

Today, through 17 000 terminals in different parts of the country connected to Sirena-Travel GDS travels are booked and sold via Sirena-Travel GDS for over 25 million air travelers. Sirena-Travel GDS contains information on flights of 100% Russian carriers and more than 60 airlines of non-CIS states. Topic: Etihad Airways as the new member of Sirena-Travel GDS. The technology of booking and ticketing.

During the workshop Etihad Airways shared company's general information, presented its route network, fleet, offered products and services, as well as tariffs and promotions. Special attention was paid to the practical part of the workshop, in which travel agencies could learn about the booking technology EY in Sirena-Travel GDS, including the ticket issue with through tariffs.

The possibility to book Etihad Airways tickets has appeared thanks to Sirena-Travel International project, which allowed travel agencies to book and issue tickets of a great number of international airlines including British Airways (BA), Lufthansa Airlines (LH), IBERIA (IB ), Malev Airlines (MA), and others.
