History
Sirena-Travel global distribution system (GDS) was put into trial operation in 2000.
Since February 1, 2001 the system operated in experimental mode that enabled the users of Sirena data transfer network the access to airlines' resources, located in reservation centers Sirena-2000 and Sirena-3, and other distribution systems such as Sirena-2.3 and Gabriel.
Sirena-Travel ADS was accredited by ARC (Airline Reporting Corporation) and fulfills the following standards:
- The code of conduct and major principles of control and use of automated reservations systems for air transport in Russian Federation;
- Functional requirements for Russian global distribution system (GDS);
- BSP requirements for the owner of ADS
July 17, 2002 Sirena-Travel GDS started operations as a distribution system, providing flight booking services and information on flight availability for the benefit of the BSP members.
